Strategic Communications and Branding for the Marine Health Alliance
A multi-stakeholder initiative designed to strengthen collaboration, raise public awareness and mobilise donor funding for marine conservation in Saint Lucia.

The mission
Giving marine conservation a shared platform.
The Saint Lucia National Conservation Fund launched the Marine Health Alliance to improve collaboration around marine ecosystem protection, grow public awareness of the challenges involved and support resource mobilisation through donor communications.
Island Innovation developed a communications framework to position the alliance as a trusted collaborative platform for marine conservation in Saint Lucia and the Caribbean, with messaging shaped for its different audiences.
The system
One communications system, working across every touchpoint.
The work connected strategy, visual identity, digital channels, media relations and donor engagement around a single marine conservation story.
Strategic communications
An integrated internal and external communications plan established consistent messaging and tailored content for diverse audiences.
Brand identity
A rebrand introduced a logo alongside social media covers, email headers and institutional flyers for digital and print use.
Website and digital management
A mobile-responsive WordPress website of up to 10 pages brought together newsletter sign-ups, donation processing, event calendars and social feeds.
Social and media relations
LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook and X/Twitter followed a bi-weekly publishing plan for three months, supported by press materials and journalist outreach.
Donor engagement
Recognition tools, donor spotlights and a digital donor wall were launched alongside a co-hosted 60-minute webinar at the Virtual Island Summit.

What the work put in place
Built to be clear, connected and ready to engage.
A consistent identity
A professional visual system brought more cohesion to the alliance across digital and print touchpoints.
A digital home
A responsive website created a central place for the alliance, its updates and essential engagement tools.
A publishing rhythm
Four social channels were managed through a structured bi-weekly content plan over three months.
A donor-facing launch
Personalised recognition and a co-hosted webinar gave the launch a platform to engage stakeholders and publicly recognise donors.
