The Isle of Man is poised to be a global leader in the green energy transition, with abundant wind resources and recent legislative commitments. Through the Climate Change Act and subsequent Climate Change Plan, the Isle of Man sets ambitious yet achievable goals for net-zero emissions by 2050 and 100% renewable electricity generation by 2030.
John Galloway, Ørsted Development Director, emphasizes the transformative potential of renewable energy projects for the Isle of Man. He states: “Renewable energy projects can ensure the Isle of Man’s energy security, create green jobs, and attract long-term investments in the local community.”
