The event was very well attended and showcased the environmental protection work of the following local groups: Greenpeace Isle of Wight; The Hampshire and Isle of Wight Wildlife Trust Wilder Communities Project and Solent Seascape Project; Plastic Free Bembridge; Together for Mission Zero; Blue Seas Protection and Isle of Wight Biosphere.
The event started with speeches and then the attendees met with the individual groups.
Both political representatives took time to find out about the work being done and show their support for next steps such as reduction in pesticide use and plastic pollution.
Attendees were very positive about the event and asked for it to be repeated to continue showcasing the work done, build connections with each other and with our representatives to develop the great environmental work being done on our island.
