Taking accessibility to new heights: Cook Islands’ first passenger lift open to public

Access to the Ministry of Justice (MoJ) building now requires just the push of a button for the elderly, vulnerable, and persons with disabilities.

Cook Islands Disability Council chairperson Tuki Wright has been a passionate advocate for easy and safe access to the Justice building. She and King’s Representative Sir Tom Marsters were given the privilege to be the first passengers in the lift.
