The New Labour Agreement that Sustains Sustainability in the South of Gran Canaria

A collective agreement running to the end of 2028 aims to provide operational stability at the Juan Grande Environmental Complex in southern Gran Canaria. The agreement protects staff transfer rights during changes of service provider, sets health and safety provisions suited to waste-management work, and establishes pay increases with a Canary Islands CPI review mechanism. By securing the conditions of the people who run a vital recycling and waste-management facility, the deal supports the long-term resilience of local circular-economy infrastructure.
